Hike
There are many miles of hiking trails in Unicoi State Park. In the spring and summer you will find colorful blooms and buds. We will be hiking the trails around the lake which will total about 3 miles in distance. The hikes are not difficult as they are mostly near the lake area.
Kayak
We will also plan to rent some kayaks and paddle around the lake for an hour. Life jackets are provided.
We will stop in the town of Helen, GA for sightseeing and window shopping.

– Backpack
– Water (1 liters)
– Hiking Shoes/good tennis shoes
– Sunglasses / hat
– Sunscreen
– Money for the kayak rental
– $ 15 for carpool driver
Lake Trail
2.5 mile loop. Compacted Soil Surface. Rated easy.
This trail is mostly flat as it winds around the edge of the 53-acre Unicoi Lake. A pleasant loop trail with views of Unicoi Lake and surrounding mountains.
