 s in Unicoi State Park. In the spring and summer you will find colorful bl
 ooms and buds. We will be hiking 2 different trails which will total about
  4 - 5 miles in distance. The hikes are not difficult as they are mostly n
 ear the lake area.\n\nKayak\nWe will also plan to rent some kayaks and pad
 dle around the calm lake for an hour. Life jackets are provided.\n\nIf we 
 have some time\, we may stop in the town of Helen\, GA for sightseeing and
  window shopping.\n\nThings to bring:\n– Lunch or snacks\n– Backpack\
 n– Water (1 -1.5 liters)\n– Hiking Shoes/good tennis shoes\n– Sungla
 sses / hat\n– Sunscreen\n- $ 10 cash for the kayak rental\n- $ 15 for ca
 rpool driver\n\nSome of the trails we will hike :\n\nBottoms Loop Trail\n2
  mile loop. Compacted Soil Surface.  Rated moderate.\nA moderate hike thr
 ough rhododendrons\, mountain laurels\, and hemlocks that passes by remain
 s of an old homestead.\nIn the spring\, you will find a variety of wildflo
 wers and blooms. The trail crosses several brooks as it winds through a ha
 rdwood forest\, and then meets the rippling waters of Smith Creek.\n\nLake
  Trail\n2.5 mile loop. Compacted Soil Surface. Rated easy.\nThis trail is 
 mostly flat as it winds around the edge of the 53-acre Uncoi Lake. A pleas
 ant loop trail with views of Uncoi Lake and surrounding mountains.
