  per car so carpooling in together will save costs which will be $2.50 if

 ear off right with a hike. We are even starting later so you can get some 
 extra sleep after the New Years festivities. Many people have walked up th
 e main walk-up trail to the top of Stone Mountain but not many have walked
  the trail through the woods\, around the lakes and around the side of the
  mountain. This is where the Cherokee Trail will take you and it's a great
  opportunity to see parts of Stone Mountain park that you may not have see
 n before. The hike is about 6.5 miles long and will take about 3 hours to
  complete. It may be 2 miles longer if we decide to include the walk up t
 rail to the top of the mountain.\n\nThings to bring:\nGood tennis shoes\, 
 hiking shoes or boots\n1 - 1.5 litres of water\nSnacks\nLayered clothing\
 nSmall backback or waistpack (to carry above items)\nCamera (optional)
