 d up the main walk-up trail to the top of Stone Mountain but not many have
  walked the trail through the woods\, around the lakes and around the side
  of the mountain. This is where the Cherokee Trail will take you and it's 
 a great opportunity to see parts of Stone Mountain park that you may not h
 ave seen before. The hike is about 5 - 6 miles long and will take about 3 
 hours to complete.\n\nThings to bring:\nGood tennis shoes\, hiking shoes o
 r boots\n1 - 1.5 liters of water\nSnacks\, Packed Lunch\nLayered clothing
  (fleece jackets are good to keep warm)\nGloves\, Hat\, Scarf etc (to cove
