 ike. We are even starting later so you can get some extra sleep. Many peop
 le have walked up the main walk-up trail to the top of Stone Mountain but 
 not many have walked the trail through the woods\, around the lakes and ar
 ound the side of the mountain. This is where the Cherokee Trail will take 
 you and it's a great opportunity to see parts of Stone Mountain park that 
 you may not have seen before. The hike is about 5 - 6 miles long and will 
 take about 3 hours to complete.\n\nThings to bring:\nGood tennis shoes\, h
 iking shoes or boots\n1 - 1.5 liters of water\nSnacks\, Packed Lunch\nSev
 eral layered clothing (eg..fleece jackets are good to keep warm)\nGloves\
