 n starting later so you can get some extra sleep after the New Years festi
 vities. Many people have walked up the main walk-up trail to the top of St
 one Mountain but not many have walked the trail through the woods\, around
  the lakes and around the side of the mountain. This is where the Cherokee
  Trail will take you and it's a great opportunity to see parts of Stone Mo
 untain park that you may not have seen before. The hike is about 5.5 miles
  long and will take about 3 hours to complete. It may be 2 miles longer i
 f we decide to include the walk up trail to the top of the mountain.\n\nTh
