 hike.\n\nThe Sawnee Mountain Preserve is just 40 miles north of Atlanta. I
 t is mostly through woods with some good scenic views of Georgia's Blue Ri
 dge Mountains.  Sawnee Mountain visibly links to the summit of the Blue R
 idge Mountain Range\, as well as the rich history of the woodland culture 
 of North Georgia’s Native American inhabitants. The mountain is named a
 fter a local Cherokee Native American\, Sawnee\n\nA popular destination is
  the Indian Seats\, a natural rock formation at the top of the trail syste
 m\, offering a beautiful setting to enjoy views of the North Georgia Mount
