Hike

Hike the trail to Rabun Bald, the second-tallest mountain summit in Georgia, to catch stunning panoramic views from the mountain’s summit. This is a steep 1.5 mile up and 1.5 mile hike down with elevation gain of 1000 feet.

Drive

We will visit Bell Mountain which offers spectacular views of the mountains and Lake Chatuge. Except for a few stairs we can can drive to the top of this mountain.

Kayaking

We will rent kayaks at Lake Chatuge and spend the afternoon on the lake before heading back to Atlanta. There is an extra cost to rent kayaks. Kayak rentals are around $ 10 to $ 15 dollars an hour.

Things to bring:
– 1.5 liters of water
– Good hiking shoes or boots
– Layered clothing
– Lunch or snack
– Camera (optional)
– Sunglasses / hat
– Sunscreen
– Sports drink (like Gatorade or Powerade) – recommended not required
