 n Trail\, a 23 mile footpath that crosses and follows the beautiful Pine M
 ountain ridge\, offers clear crisp views of distant ridges in winter\, wit
 h occasional snowfall\, to the lush greens of summer ferns and foliage of 
 lowland flora.  Wildflowers are abundant and spring brings flowering dogw
 ood\, native azalea\, mountain laurel and rhododendron. Fall brings bright
  and beautiful colors\, changing from day to day. With the connector trail
 s that form seven loops there are over 40 miles of hiking trails for your 
 enjoyment.\n\nIf the Little White House is open we may stop in and pay it 
 a visit.  This was the home of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and has so
 me very interesting information and memorabilia on the US's longest servin
 g president.\n\nWe will be hiking the about 6-7 miles on the Pine Mtn trai
 l which is a small part of the whole trail.  Event sign up closes at 5:00
  pm on Friday.\n\nThings to bring:\n- 1-1.5 liters of water\n- Good hiking
  shoes or tennis shoes\n- Layered clothing\n- Hat and gloves (important)\n
 - Lunch or snack.\n- Camera (optional)\n- $15 for Carpool Driver
