 of Atlanta\nCosts: $15 per person\nHike Leader: Peter\n\nThe Pine Mountain
  Trail\, a 23 mile footpath that crosses and follows the beautiful Pine Mo
 untain ridge\, offers clear crisp views of distant ridges in winter\, with
  occasional snowfall\, to the lush greens of summer ferns and foliage of l
 owland flora.  Wildflowers are abundant and spring brings flowering dogwo
 od\, native azalea\, mountain laurel and rhododendron. Fall brings bright 
 and beautiful colors\, changing from day to day. With the connector trails
  that form seven loops there are over 40 miles of hiking trails for your e
 njoyment.\n\nIf the Little White House is open we may stop in and pay it a
  visit.  This was the home of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and has som
 e very interesting information and memorabilia on the US's longest serving
  president.\n\nWe will be hiking the about 6-7 miles on the Pine Mtn trail
  which is a small part of the whole trail.  Event sign up closes at 5:00 
 pm on Friday.\n\nThings to bring:\n- 1-1.5 liters of water\n- Good hiking 
 shoes or tennis shoes\n- Layered clothing\n- Hat and gloves (important)\n-
  Lunch or snack.\n- Camera (optional)\n- $15 for Carpool Driver
