 Strikes at 1741 Mountain Industrial Blvd\, Stone Mountain\, GA 30083 or at
  Intown at 10:00 am.\nCost:  $5 per person. Includes entrance to the par
 k.\nHike Leader: Peter de Lastic\n\n\nStart the New Year off right with a 
 hike. We are even starting later so you can get some extra sleep after the
  New Years festivities.\n\nMany people have walked up the main walk-up tra
 il to the top of Stone Mountain but not many have walked the trail through
  the woods\, around the lakes and around the side of the mountain. This is
  where the Cherokee Trail will take you and it's a great opportunity to se
 e parts of Stone Mountain park that you may not have seen before. The hike
  is about 5 miles long and will take about 3 hours to complete. It may 
 be 1.5 miles longer if we decide to include the walk up trail to the top 
 of the mountain.\n\nThings to bring: Good tennis shoes\, hiking shoes or b
 oots\, 1 - 1.5 litres of water\, Snacks\, Layered clothing\, Small backpa
 ck or waistpack (to carry above items)\, Camera (optional).\n\n&nbsp\;
