 the falls in 3.6 miles and return to the day-use area for 7.2-mile day hik
 e. You follow a beautiful tumbling\, cascading stream through a steep-side
 d valley with rocky cliffs to the dramatic and impressive Panther Creek Fa
 lls. The trail leads down to the pool for a grand view of the falling wate
 r and the large pool catching it. The trail continues through some especia
 lly grand hardwood stands. The USDA Forest Service has designated parts of
  this area as a Protected Botanical Area.\n\nFor those brave enough you ca
 n take a swim in the pool at the waterfall and climb onto the rocks under 
 the falls. Highly recommended to cool off on the hike.\n\nThings to bring:
