 y and Cleburne Counties\, Cheaha State Park is the pinnacle of natural bea
 uty and awe in Alabama. Surrounded by the Talladega National Forest\, this
  foothill of the Appalachian Mountains holds the reputation of the highest
  point in Alabama. Standing 2\,407 ft. above sea level\, it is no wonder w
 hy the local Creek Indians named this place “Chaha\,” meaning high pla
 ce. We will hike the Boardwalk trail which is a short 0.5 mile hike ending
  at a good view. We will then also hike the Pulpit Rock Trail which again 
 has excellent views. Finally we will hike the Garden Rock Trail from the t
 op of Cheaha Mtn to Cheaha Lake. This last hike is steep and you may want 
 to use hiking poles. We will shuttle a car so we don't have to hike back u
