Includes Camping fees\, gas costs a nd food at campsite. You may need to purchase your own food/snacks while t raveling in car.\n\nCome and join us for a great Fall weekend in the North Georgia Mountains. We have reserved a special campsite in the Coos awatte e River Resort near the small mountain city of Ellijay\, GA.  There is on ly room for 16 people so sign up early if you want to go. Please note this event is only open to people who have hiked with us before. The hikes we will do on Saturday and Sunday may be quite challenging.\n\nThe campsite i s located in a private campground. There are restroom facilities\, and a s hower is in both restrooms. It is a campground so don't expect luxury. Act ually having a restroom is a luxury. We have also rented a pavilion on Sat urday night which will make our evening meal very comfortable even if ther e is bad weather. The camping spots are on the banks of the Coosawattee Ri ver so you will get to sleep to the sound of gently flowing water.\n\nThe hikes will be fairly challenging. They will be a minimum of 6 miles but a maximum of 10. Please don't sign up if you cannot do this level of difficu lty. As we are in the North Georgia Mountains you can also expect some ele vation changes.\n\nWe have all the camping equipment so you only need to bring your own pillow\, clothes and toiletries. If you have a sleeping bag that will help but we can probably bring one for you if needed. You will need your normal hiking gear\, of day pack and good hiking shoes.
