  • How do I become a member?

    Click on Registration under the Members Menu choice.

    Fill out the form and click Submit.

    Best of all it's FREE and we promise never to sell your information to anyone else.


  • How do I sign up for a hike?

    You can only sign up for a hike by becoming a member of Atlanta Hikes. Once you have become a member you can click on the Events menu choice. Then click on Upcoming Events and you will see a calendar display. Click on any event and it will give you information about the hike. If you wish to join the hike just click the sign up button. You are welcome to bring a friend if space is available. No children under 18 are permitted without a parent or guardian.

    Most day hikes on Saturday require you to sign up before 5pm on Friday. Camping or Backpacking trips have different closing windows.


  • Are there any outdoor events other than hiking?

    As our name suggests we mostly do hikes. We will occasionally schedule other activities such as swimming, boating, tubing, rafting, sightseeing but these are usually done in addition to the hike.

  • Are there any costs for the hikes?

    The only costs are to pay for compensating the driver for gasoline and normal use of their vehicle. Costs will vary from $5-$20 depending on the distance traveled.  Costs are usually posted on the page that gives details about the hike. Other costs you may incur would be for snacks or fast food that you might purchase or items in a gift shop if we happen to see one at the trail head.
